Lancaster County continues in phase two of the UDO update with two public meetings on January 11th. The UDO Stakeholder Committee will meet at 12 p.m. in the Lancaster County Council Chamber and at 4 p.m., the County Council Committee of the Whole will meet with the Planning Commission. A UDO is a document in which traditional zoning and subdivision regulations are combined with other desired city regulations, such as design guidelines and water management, into a single document. It serves as a local policy instrument and we need it sooner rather than later. The current UDO is from 2016.
