We’ve got lots of news to share with you in this edition of Untap Indian Land!

Indian Land is getting two new banks.

Fifth Third Bank has broken ground on its first branch in Indian Land. It will be located in the Promenade at Carolina Reserve off Charlotte Hwy 521 and will include a drive-through.
Wells Fargo will be opening next to Marcos Pizza in Cross Creek Shopping Center which is also off Charlotte Hwy 521. Other than an ATM inside the QuickTrip, this will be Wells Fargo’s first footprint in the area.

Congrats to both The Office Craft Bar & Kitchen and Farm Haus Butcher & Beer Garden for starting their roots in Indian Land and expanding!

The Office Craft Bar & Kitchen will open a second location in StoneCrest at Piper Glen in Charlotte. Work has already begun. Plans for a third location are already in the works. - story credit: The Charlotte Observer
Farm Haus Butcher & Beer Garden will open up a food stall at The Power House in Rock Hill this spring AND they will soon open a third location in Mt. Pleasant.

New medical and professional office space called The Link is now accepting lease applications through Bond Street Advisors.

Savor a smoked tequila with your meal at this new Mexican restaurant in Ballantyne Village [Finley/Charlotte Observer]. Casa del Tequila is now open in Ballantyne, serving Mexican food classics such as burritos, fajitas, and specialty tacos — along with a variety of tequilas, of course.

A German sensor company new to Indian Land continues to grow area manufacturing base [Marks/Charlotte Observer]. A German electronics maker is the latest area addition, in a growing manufacturing scene. Captron will be located at 9499 Old Bailes Road.

School district looks to by 30 acres in Indian Land [Jones/Carolina Gateway]. Lancaster County School District has entered into agreements to buy three parcels of land in Indian Land, totaling between 30 and 38 acres.

The Magic Canvas offers art, magic & more [WCCB]. Scott and Janet Robinson are the owners of Magic Canvas in Indian Land. Their venue is for friends and family to enjoy magic, art, parties, summer camps, classes, and more.

Student to Lancaster Co. School Board: I was not helped [Fogarty/WCCB]. A group of parents and students showed up to the school board meeting Tuesday night to demand better protocols be put in place to protect students.
