Indian Land resident Melanie Riggs turned her hobby of creating beautiful charcuterie boards into a business after encouragement from friends and family. Cute-a-ries is an online business that sells custom charcuterie boards and boxes that are made using fresh, seasonal, and local ingredients.

County hires new administrator [Summers/Lancaster News]. The county’s new administrator is returning to the Carolinas from his Midwest hometown.
After meeting behind closed doors for about 20 minutes at the end of marathon four-hour meeting Monday, Sept. 13, members of Lancaster County Council came into open session and unanimously voted to hire Dennis Marstall as the county’s new administrator beginning Oct. 18.
