Lancaster 2040 Comprehensive Plan Community Survey open until April 11
April 3, 2022 | Wilson
Lancaster County residents now have the opportunity to provide their opinions on what direction they would like to see the county move in terms of development.
Lancaster County is debuting a website and survey for its new Comprehensive Plan: Lancaster 2040 and they want to hear from you! The plan will provide a long-range strategic vision and direction to guide how Lancaster County grows and develops over the next 20 years.
Consultants will work with County Staff and a Steering Committee of 12 people. They will meet regularly to review findings, determine the best way to reach the public and to draft the Plan.
Why should you care? The last Comprehensive Plan for the county was created in 2014 and runs until 2024. The new Comprehensive Plan will serve as an updated guide to the development of our future.
It will closely examine growth management; transportation; loss of agricultural and rural lands; natural resources extraction; stormwater management; recreation, open space, environmental stewardship, and sustainability; economic development; and community beautification.
The survey is only 24 questions. Please take a few minutes and have your voice heard.
