Indian Land Goodwill to open next Friday

Goodwill Industries of the Southern Piedmont will host a grand opening of its newest retail store in Indian Land on Friday, February 25.

The new building is located off of Hwy 521 across from the Indian Land Schools and next to the Rec Center that is currently undergoing renovations. The 7,000 square foot building features a donation drive-thru.

The store will celebrate its ribbon cutting at 9:45 a.m. and then open to the public at 10 a.m.

This marks the nonprofit’s 26th store in the greater Charlotte region, and fourth store in South Carolina. The Ballantyne location is a little over 6 miles away from the new store.

According to a press release, the new location will make donating and shopping even more convenient for Goodwill supporters in the area, whose support helps people in our region get career-ready and back to work through free job skills training and employment services.

Since 1965, Goodwill has been helping people in the greater Charlotte region earn new skills, discover new careers and change their circumstances. Between 2019 - 2021, Goodwill provided employment support and resources to more than 20,000 people in the region.

Regular hours for the new store will be Monday – Saturday from 10 a.m. – 9 p.m., Sunday 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.
