NOVEL Ballantyne has begun construction. The development will be in Charlotte’s Ballantyne neighborhood, located at 15825 Marvin Road, 13 miles south of the city’s central business district.
NOVEL Ballantyne will consist of three five-story buildings, totaling 285 homes made up of a mix of studios, 1- and 2-bedroom plans. Onsite amenities include a large clubroom with work-from-home spaces, fitness center, outdoor social lawn, active lawn, dog park, gathering spaces, and resort pool with covered lounge spaces.
“NOVEL Ballantyne is part of a master-planned residential community bringing a mix of new housing options, including market-rate and age-restricted affordable apartment homes, as well as townhomes for rent,” said Michael Tubridy, Managing Director of Multifamily Development for the Carolinas and Tennessee at Crescent Communities. “The community is directly adjacent to two existing retail centers featuring Sprouts and Publix grocery stores, restaurants and office space, along with other convenience retail and neighborhood services.”
Construction for NOVEL Ballantyne is anticipated to begin later this month with the first units slated to be delivered, along with the leasing office, in March 2023.
Design partners include architecture firm 505 Design, landscape architect and civil engineer LandDesign, interior designer Vignette, MEP engineer McVeigh + Mangum, and structural engineer Ellinwood + Machado.
